Raw materials and formula
The raw materials of this process are styrene and acetic acid. Styrene is obtained by the reaction of the reaction tower, the reactants are benzene and ethylene, the catalyst is ClAlPh3; Acetic acid is obtained by the reaction kettle, the reactants are acetic anhydride and benzaldehyde, the catalyst is sulfuric acid.
The formula is:
Styrene: 10000 kg
Acetic acid: 7400 kg
Benzyl alcohol: 1812 kg
Acetic anhydride: 765 kg
ClAlPh3:15 kg
Sulfuric acid: 310 kg
2. Reaction process
The reaction process is as follows:
(1) Styrene and acetic acid enter the reactor for ketal reaction, and use sulfuric acid as a catalyst, reaction at 60℃ for 4 hours, to obtain acetophenone.
(2) Acetophenone and benzyl alcohol enter the reactor for alcoholysis reaction, and react at 120℃ for 4 hours to obtain benzyl acetate.
3. Production process
(1) Preparation of styrene
The preparation of styrene requires a gas phase alkylation reaction using a reactor. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Add the catalyst ClAlPh3 to the reactor and adjust the reactor temperature to 100℃.
2. Add benzene and ethylene to the reactor respectively and control the reactor pressure below 0.1MPa.
3. Collect the product mixture at the top of the reactor and pass through the condensator to obtain styrene.
(2) Preparation of acetic acid
Acetic acid preparation requires esterification using a reactor. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Add sulfuric acid to the reactor and heat up to 90℃.
2. Add acetic anhydride and benzaldehyde to the reactor respectively, and control the reactor pressure below 0.1MPa.
3. After 4 hours of reaction, collect the reactant mixture at the end of the reaction.
(3) Preparation of benzyl acetate
The prepared acetophenone and benzyl alcohol were added to the reactor for alcoholysis, and the reaction condition was 120℃ for 4 hours. After the reaction, the reactant mixture was collected, extracted and distilled to obtain benzyl acetate with a purity of 99%.
